In this section you enter the details of the practitioners in your practice. Use “Update” to save any changes on the existing records, “New” to enter a new practitioner, and “Delete” to delete a practitioner from the system.
The Display Order sets the order in which they are displayed in the diary. The ID number is used when creating practitioner specific online booking URLs.
Show deleted practitioners for Reports
When printing reports (under Tools->Reports), by default the Practitioner option only includes active practitioners. To show deleted practitioners, tick the "Show deleted practitioners for Reports" checkbox on the Practitioners page.
Adding A Practitioner
To add a practitioner, click New. If the "New" button doesn't show you have reached the maximum number of practitioners allowed under your plan. Contact Support to adjust your plan.
To add a practitioner complete the relevant sections. The "Use default Merchant ID Number?" and "Practitioner Specific Merchant ID:" are applicable for Tyro integrations. Ignore these if you are not using that facility.
Each practitioner can also have a unique "invoice comment" which shows on statements and invoices. This is useful if they have separate banking details for payments from the other practitioners in the clinic.
Once complete click the "Add" button to add the practitioner.
Editing A Practitioner & Adding Provider Numbers
To edit a practitioner's details, click the Edit link on their row in the list of practitioners. You can then make any changes and click "Save Details".
In this section you also add provider numbers to a practitioner. Ticking the "Default" checkbox means this will be the default number used for claiming through Tyro/HealthPoint or HICAPs Go/Medipass.This can be edited during the process of making a claim if needed.
