The Practice Dashboard gives you a quick and easy view of your practice's vital statistics.
The default view is the previous calendar month, however you can quickly select another time period. 1 week gives you figures from the last full week (Sunday to Saturday). The 1, 3 and 12 month buttons give you the last full 1, 3 or 12 months starting from the previous calendar month. Alternatively click in the date boxes to select other dates. The first box sets the start date and the second box the end date.
The drop down list between the date buttons and the date boxes has a list of practitioners. This determines who the figures above the date buttons will apply to. The Referral Statistics below the buttons are for all practitioners regardless of who is selected. Click "Update" to update the figures after you change any of the options.
All figures are for the selected period and practitioner(s). The Revenue figure is the total revenue including stock sales. Tax on Revenue is the total tax due from the Revenue. New Patients is the number of recorded new patient consultations. This is determined by whether the service is marked as a new patient consultation in the Services settings. Total visits is simply the total number of services recorded.
Total credit balances is the amount you have owing to patients (your liabilities). Outstanding accounts is how much you are owed by your patients.
PVA is the patient visit average. This is how many visits on average you providing to every new patient that comes into the practice over the given period.
AVV is the average visit value. This is the average fee that you receive per service.
TPR is total patient revenue. This is the average amount that a patient will spend over their lifetime with you. Used in conjunction with you profit margins, this determines how much you can spend on marketing and still make a profit.
The Referral Statistics provide similar figures for each of the referral sources set in the Settings section. These should be set to each of your marketing campaigns to get the best metrics. The referral statistics show the total number of patients per referral source, the total number of visits, as well as the total revenue for the period per referral source.
The PVA, AVV and TPR are also for each referral source. These figures are often lower than the figures at the top of the screen, as the data is extracted from the database in a different way, however they provide similar feedback on the efficacy of the referral source.
